World Autism awareness month was celebrated by SAU, Indore

A major call to continually acknowledge and bring about ongoing support into societies and workplaces for people with autism.
Autism awareness will accelerate actions to bring about acceptance in workplaces, arts, and other fields where people with autism are To bring awareness for Autism and to sensitize our nursing students and postgraduate students, World Autism awareness month was celebrated today at SAIMS on the 6th of April.
To celebrate this event Department of Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Speech, and Audiology, and Occupational Therapy came together with a wonderful program designed to suit our students and parents.

We held educational small talks, followed by a skit highlighting government schemes for them, and the program ended with an open forum question-answer session for parents and guardians. A major call to continually acknowledge and bring about ongoing support into societies and workplaces for people with autism is the need of the hour.
Autism awareness will accelerate actions to bring about acceptance in workplaces, arts, and other fields where people with autism are beginning to show interest and progress. Policies need to be reviewed and adjusted accordingly as and when necessary.
