Sri Aurobindo University, celebrated First World Endodontic Day with a series of engaging programs

On the 16th of October 2023, the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry, Sri Aurobindo University, celebrated First World Endodontic Day with a series of engaging programs aimed at promoting knowledge, awareness, and camaraderie amongst general public, students, interns, staff, and postgraduate students. The program was inaugurated by Dr. Anand Misra sir, Registrar, Sri Aurobindo University, and Dr. Kanteshwari I.K., Principal, Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry.
The day commenced with "Excavation and Review," where students had to find an ivory tooth hidden within large tooth models filled with sand. To infuse public awareness towards patients visiting the Endodontic Department, a Rangoli competition was organized, allowing participants to express their artistic talents with endodontic themes. This competition encouraged students to explore their creative side while staying connected to their field. A creative segment titled "Endodontic Memes" added a touch of humour and education, as participants generated dental-themed memes, providing both entertainment and insights into endodontic concepts.
The "Identify Your Colleague" activity added an element of mystery and bonding as participants were challenged to recognize their colleagues by studying blurred photographs. A highlight of the event was Sir Grossman Oration scientific lecture delivered by Dr. Anuj Bharadwaj, Professor and Head at the Colleges of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Rau. His presentation, "Endodontists - Do They Do Root Canal Differently," offered valuable insights and perspectives to interns, staff, and postgraduate students, enriching their understanding of endodontics.
Following the lecture, Dr. Sanket Hans Pandey, an Associate Professor, conducted a hands-on activity on "Electric Motor Basics: From Relay to Powertrain." This practical session allowed participants to explore the technical aspects of the new equipment, enhancing their knowledge and skills in using electric motors effectively. The event coordinator was Dr. Katya Pandey. The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Pallav Patni, Dr. Pradeep Jain, Dr. Swadhin Raghuwanshi, Dr. Sonal Singh Arora, Dr. Yogesh Gadge.
The World Endodontic Day celebration at Sri Aurobindo College of Dentistry on October 16th was a grand success, fostering education, collaboration, and a sense of community among those involved in the field of endodontics.
